ＧＰｚ４００Ｒ ＴＴ－Ｆ３仕様の概要について ②

前回に引続きＧＰｚ４００Ｒ ＴＴ－Ｆ３仕様の概況として、この車両が一般的な車両（公道を走っているＧＰｚ４００Ｒ）とどう違うのか、について書かせていただきます。
先ずは、車体周りですが、
１．メインフレームが補強されており、倍の太さになになっている。
２．スイングアーム下部に補強と、レーシングスタンドフックの取付けが施されている。
３．フロント周りがＧＰｚ６００Ｒのものに換装されており、ブレーキ強化、Ｆフォーク径アップにより剛性アップが図られている。また、スプリングのバネレート変更も実施）。
４．アンチノーズダイブ機構をキャンセルし、ブレーキホースはマスターシリンダーからキャリパーへダイレクトに接続されている。
５．トップブリッジに補強の追加（補強材を溶接）。
６．ステアリングダンパーが装着されている（フレーム側の取付けはボスをフレームに溶接済）。
７．レーシングタコメーター（日本精機製）を専用ステーを介して装備。水温計は未装備。
８．テールカウルにゼッケンナンバースペースを確保するためのプレートを装備（プレス発表時の車両には装着されていない）。
９．レーシングステップを装備。プレートはＢＥＥＴ社スーパーバンクと同一、ステップバーやペダルはカワサキオリジナル。
１０．サブラジエターを追加装備。
１１．サンケイ技研製のレーシングマフラーを装備。
１２．前後１６インチのレーシングスリックタイヤ装備。
以上が、車体周りの変更点です。

次にエンジンですが、
１３．点火プラグの小径化（DプラグからCプラグへ)。シリンダーヘッドも加工前のものをラインより抜き取り別途加工の実施。
１４．吸気ポートの短縮(ノーマルより１センチほど短縮)。
１５．ウォーターポンプのギア比変更。
以上ですが、基本的には前年(１９８５年)にリリースされたキットパーツがベースとなりますが、キットパーツ組込みに際して重量合わせなどの加工も実施されていたようです。

いろいろ調べてみたところ当時疑問に思っていたことが分かったり、新たな疑問が起こったりしましたので書いてみます。

１．フレーム補強については、ＴＴ－Ｆ３コンプリート車の１番の特徴とも言える箇所です。フレームのヘッド部分からクロスフレームまで、メインフレームに副って微妙なラインを描きながら取り付けられております。溶接も大変丁寧に仕上げられています。月木レーシングで作成されたものらしく、後日オーダーをされた方もおられたようです（費用は１０万円程）。

２．スイングアームの補強は、通常車ルは下側に取り付けられていますが、チームグリーン車は上側に取付けられています。この補強の組み方や素材のサイズは月木レーシングのＧＰｚ７５０Ｒレーサー（８耐ニンジャ）と同様のものであり、フレームと合せて月木レーシングにて作成されたことを裏づけするものだと云えます。

３．フロント周りがＧＰｚ６００Ｒのものになっており、フロントフォークの大径化(１ｍｍですが)ブレーキの容量アップが図られています。
またアンチノーズダイブはキャンセルされています。

５．アッパー＆アンダーのステムにはアルミ部材を溶接した補強が施されています。この部分補強は、カワサキは執拗なくらい行われており、後のＺＸ－４やＫＲ－１のチームグリーン車でも見ることができます。

８．通常車は、テールカウルにゼッケンナンバースペースを確保するための追加プレートが装備されています。私も数年前に、この存在を知りました。当時のチームグリーン車の写真を見ると、装着された写真は１枚もありません。推測ですが、この追加プレートがなければ、ＭＦＪの規則で定められたゼッケンプレートの面積ギリギリで、車検の係員によっては不合格とされる事があったためではないか思われます。最近、某ショップさんから「Ｆ－３ディフューザー」との名称で売り出されてます。

９．オリジナルのステップについては、私の持つ車両には片側しかありませんでしたので、現在はＢＥＥＴのスーパーバンクを取り付けております。オリジナルのステップバーは、ＫＲ５００など一連のカワサキワークスマシンに装着されていたもののようです。何かのタンデムステップバーのような雰囲気もあるので、様々なカワサキ車のものを観察していますが、該当するものは今のところ見つかっていません。

１０．サブラジエターはオフロード車に装備されているツインタイプの片側を流用しているかのようですが、容量的にかなり大型になります。６００Ｒはオイルクーラーなのに、この車両ではサブラジエターなのかが疑問です。もちろんチームグリーン車でもサブラジエターのみですので、こちらがベストだったと思われます。

１３．この車両で一番驚くべき点は、プラグの小径化にあります。ノーマルのヘッドを加工したものではなく、加工前のブランク状態をラインより抜き取り、別途加工したものだと推測されます。ノーマルのプラグ穴をアルゴン溶接で塞ぎ、再加工という方法もありますが、熱による歪みの可能性と、これに加えてバルブの大径化、チューナーでなくメーカーという点を考慮すれば前者が間違いないと思われます。

メーカーとして勝つためにやれることは、全てやり尽くしてあるとも云えるこのバイクは魅力的です。しかもＺ１０００Ｓ１以後、カワサキからの発売された市販レーサーで、生産台数もＳ１と同じ３０台というのはカワサキの粋な計らいなのでしょうか？

実は私も98年位まで所有しておりました。

86年の4耐に向けカワサキが本気で作った車両で、購入者はたしか明石の川重に泊まり込み？で講習に行ったのではなかったでしょうか。

ＭＣＡＨさんの記事で遥か昔の熱い気持ちが、昨日の様に思い起こされました。　今後に期待しますね。

Aw, this was an exceptionally good post. Taking a few
